Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and love. After the long day of surgery yesterday, today has brought encouraging signs of progress.
Amy remains in the ICU and is being carefully monitored, but this morning:
- A physical and occupational therapist has already seen her.
- Her transplant team has visited and is pleased with her progress.
- Her ICU nurse, Sydney, has been a great blessing—kind, attentive, and skilled.
The surgeon and doctor both expressed confidence in her progress so far. Though we know there’s a long road ahead, we are so grateful to see forward movement.
We’ve been reflecting on the journey these past several years. Many of you know how often we have prayed for healing, how often we’ve had to trust God when the answer was “not yet” or “no.” Now, in His sovereign grace, it seems He has chosen to say “yes.”
We continue to trust the Lord, not only in moments of relief and good news, but also in the waiting, the setbacks, and the unknowns. God has been faithful in the valley, and He is faithful still.
I also want to speak gently to those who may be reading this and still waiting for their own prayers to be answered. We know that pain well. And even now, while we rejoice, we do so humbly, knowing that not everyone gets the answer they long for. Our hearts remain tender toward you.
We are also still praying for the donor, whose selfless act continues to move us deeply. What an indescribable gift.
Please keep praying:
- For continued stability in Amy’s recovery
- For her body to fully receive and adjust to the new liver
- For no signs of infection, rejection, or complications
- For the donor’s complete healing
- For endurance, peace, and strength for our family as we remain here in Philadelphia
With deep gratitude,
James
