A Setback, But Still Trusting

Today brought an unexpected setback.

Earlier this afternoon, Amy went back into atrial fibrillation, and this episode was more significant than the one she experienced earlier in the week. Because of the severity, the medical team made the decision to move her back to the ICU for closer monitoring and care.

We’re thankful to report that she is now back in normal rhythm, and the ICU team is working carefully to adjust her medications in hopes of preventing another episode. It’s clear that we’re still in the delicate phase of recovery, where Amy’s body is adjusting to a tremendous amount of change.

As you can imagine, this was discouraging for all of us. But the team here continues to care for her well, and we are confident that she is in good hands. We’re also confident that God is near, even in moments of disruption and difficulty.

Your prayers would be deeply appreciated tonight, for wisdom in finding the right medication balance, for continued stability, and for peace over Amy’s mind and body as she rests and recovers.

Thank you for standing with us. We are holding onto hope and trusting the Lord to carry us through.

With humble thanks,
James
