What happens to your confidence and trust in God when you’re under stress? Do you struggle with complaining? Are you tempted to doubt?
Psalm 63 is a beautiful psalm where David expresses quiet confidence in God’s presence, provision, and protection. He praised God because he knew he was safe in the hands of God.
David is once again on the run for his life and seeking refuge from the rebellion being led by his son, Absalom. Absalom was attempting to overthrow King David. You can read more about this in 2 Samuel 15–18.
During these turbulent times on the run, David knew that God alone would fully satisfy him and secure him no matter where he was. We need to know and trust the same.
